This is the largest species of the Deschampsia family.  It is widely arching in form and is a remarkable bloomer.  This is a high-impact plant and looks exception en masse or as a specimen.  It is a traditional cool season grass that is semi-evergreen.  Handsome especially in the fall, non-descript in the summer’s heat.

‘Goldtau’ is a compact and obedient cold-season grass with very dark-green blades and later but prolific blooming habit.  The blooms are a notable golden color that makes it easily identifiable in the perennial garden.  This clump forming grass Attractive both in mass planting or in a border along a drive or walkway.  This is an excellent addition for front planting of other plants with loose or no lower foliage.  It causes a fuller look for longer periods as it is clump forming and semi-evergreen.
